Whether you see today as spiritually significant or simply as another beautiful Saturday, I love what the idea of a portal invites us to consider.

A portal is a threshold.

A crossing.

A moment between what has been… and what could be.

We experience portals our entire lives.

The day we’re born, we cross the threshold into this incredible human experience.

One day, we’ll cross another threshold, carrying with us the lessons, love, laughter, heartbreak, and wonder we gathered along the way.

And everything in between?

That’s the magic.

Today, the repeating 8s remind me of the infinity symbol. ♾️

Not because I believe the calendar changes my life for me.

But because it reminds me that there’s always a choice beneath the magic.

A choice to begin again.

A choice to forgive.

A choice to dream bigger.

A choice to leave behind an old story and step into a new one.

A choice to notice the extraordinary hiding inside what everyone else calls an ordinary day.

Maybe that’s what a portal really is.

Not a doorway that appears once a year…

But a moment when we decide to walk through a door that has quietly been waiting for us all along.

So today, I’m choosing wonder.

I’m choosing possibility.

I’m choosing to believe that every ending carries the seed of a beginning, and that every threshold is an invitation to become a little more fully myself.
