Sometimes we feel something before we understand it. Anger appears seemingly out of nowhere, something makes us unexpectedly sad, or an old memory comes back. We may feel restless, sensitive, frustrated, hopeful, overwhelmed, or simply off, and our first instinct is often to ask, Why am I feeling this way? Then we immediately start trying to fix what’s happening to us. But what if every feeling does not need to be fixed? What if some feelings simply need enough room to pass?
The Lunar Eclipse in Pisces
The Lunar Eclipse in Pisces arrives overnight on August 27–28, 2026, depending on where you are. A lunar eclipse occurs when Earth moves between the Sun and a full Moon, casting Earth’s shadow across the Moon.
Symbolically, Pisces is often associated with emotion, intuition, sensitivity, dreams, imagination, and the parts of ourselves that are not always easy to explain through logic. For me, those themes inspired a simple question: What would happen if, instead of trying to understand every emotion immediately, we simply noticed it?
That question became the foundation for this Lunar Eclipse in Pisces guided meditation.
Your Feelings Are LIKE Clouds
In the meditation, I invite you to imagine yourself sitting peacefully beneath a wide, open sky. Clouds begin moving overhead. Some are small, some are large, some are light and almost transparent, and others are dark and heavy. But there is one thing they all have in common: They move.
They gather and separate. They change shape. They appear, and eventually, they pass. Our feelings can do the same.
An emotion can feel enormous while we are experiencing it. It can tighten your chest, make your heart race, fill your thoughts, or convince you that this feeling is the only thing that exists.
You Don’t Have to Respond to Every Feeling
One of the ideas I wanted to explore in this meditation is our tendency to do something whenever an uncomfortable emotion appears. We distract ourselves, reason with ourselves, tell ourselves we shouldn’t feel that way, or search for something to fix, change, organize, control, or solve.
Sometimes action is necessary, but sometimes it isn’t. Sometimes we can say, This is what I am feeling right now, and wait. We can observe, listen, breathe, and allow the feeling to move through us before deciding what it means.
Perhaps it means something important. Perhaps it doesn’t mean much of anything. We don’t always have to know immediately.
Let your emotions pass
Toward the end of the meditation, I invite you to imagine placing something you’ve been carrying into one of the clouds. Maybe it’s an old situation you’ve thought about for too long, frustration, disappointment, or the mental image of someone you’ve spent far too much energy trying to please.
You don’t have to force yourself to release it, and you don’t have to dramatically declare that you’re over it forever. Just place it in the cloud and watch. The cloud begins to move. You remain where you are. You don’t chase it, and you don’t control it. You simply observe.
